The Four Horseshoes is a 15th century
cottage style pub on the edge
of Checkendon village.
Part thatched, the building is full 
of character and atmosphere set
in a fantastic location.

We have two bars, both with open fires
and sofa areas, contemporary decor
and comfortable seating.
The delightful restaurant area leads
out to a really lovely large garden
where you can enjoy your food and
drinks whilst the children play.

We cater for all - whether you'd like

the walks are fantastic, and this is a
popular place to stop, we feature in
many guides; along the road is a
stunning old Norman church,
which leads to lovely rural walks
